The Bauhaus Movement in Weimar, Germany is a design and architectural movement which shaped modern cities: office buildings, schools, shopping malls find their conceptual roots in the Bauhaus movement of modern art and architecture dating back to the school of arts and crafts established in Weimar, 1902 by the Belgian artist Henry van de Velde.

Sienna, sister city with Weimar since 1995, recently inaugurated an exhibition on the Bauhaus movement which will run until April 17^th at Palazzo Pubblico and is open daily from 12:00 to 17:00
