Sunday March 1^st the third edition of ViniGiusti 2009 will take place in a new restaurannt Q.B. (Quanto Basta).

Highlight of the event is a round table scheduled at 17:30 where the best wines in Tuscany are featured and at 21:30 The ViniGiusti 2009 of Tuscany will be nominated.

Wine Spectator is a leading website compiling the top 100 wines of the year available on the international markets, capable of swinging sales on a global scale.

The experts of this American publication (namely James Suckling in charge of Italian and European wines) have tasted and evaluated 19,500 wines coming from all corners of the world.

Evaluation is based on criteria:

1. Quality (based on points assigned, minimum 93 points)
2. Value (price)
3. Availability (production) and the X factor defined by journalists of Wine Spectator as “excitement”

First prize was awarded to a Chilean wine the Clos Apalta Colchagua Valley 2005 of the Lapostolle Winery. Only Italian wine in the top 10 list is the Barolo 2004 of Pio Cesare.
